Blank Generation
Audio: The audio is a 2-channel Dolby Mono platform that for the most part is just loud & empty. The film's heart & soul is the Punk rock music of 1979. I used to really dig this scene but somehow, this film & its presentation changed all that.
Video: The video is a pretty clean anamorphic presentation. There were a fair amount of scratches & markings throughout the film. The transfer itself is for the most part decent however, there are areas of softness & pixellation that occur more than I would have liked.
Extras: There are no extras on the disc. No trailer, no commentary & no menus. Simply put, this disc has nothing going for it.
Overall: This was a wretched film. There was so much that could have been done regarding this page in musical history. The only film I can think of that did a half way decent job of it was Sid & Nancy. This bears no likeness to that film or any thing even remotely worthy of your attention. The music was awful & the execution of the subject matter was just as awful. The blank generation has left me blank and it will probably do the same for you.
