Bail revoked.

20th Century-Fox's Cinema Archives line of hard-to-find library and cult titles has released Alex and the Gypsy, the romantic drama from 1976 starring Jack Lemmon and Genevieve Bujold. Unfortunately, as is distressingly common with Cinema Archive titles originally filmed (or projected) in widescreen, this release features a cropped fullscreen transfer. Information on the web is sketchy about which Cinema Archives titles are botched. So, in an effort to help other fans like myself who want these movies presented correctly, and who don't want to waste their money on fatally compromised product...skip this completely unacceptable release of Alex and the Gypsy. No review necessary (pity...it looked interesting).
