DVD Wish List 2008
1/01/08: Entering the second year of the Savant Wish List, I can say it didn't turn out to be as much trouble As I thought it would be. Reader help 
and suggestions (all noted next to the titles involved) was substantial and feedback from readers and studios wasn't bad at all. A rep from one major studio told me that 70% of his titles on the list would be out by late 2008, and I think that prediction might turn out to be accurate.
As one discovers more deserving titles, the list never seems to get shorter. Only a couple of Savant's really desirable films came out in 2007, Duck You Sucker and Hell and High Water. That leaves dream titles like The Horrible Doctor Hichcock, Blood and Roses, Garden of Evil, Bigger than Life and Wild River still at large. Remember that I'm not counting Region 2 releases. Although it isn't a hard & fast rule, PAL transfers almost always speed up American films by 4%, an effect I can't stand unless absolutely unavoidable.
The Wish List titles that appeared in 2007 are listed below, along with the old 2007 introductory text. I'll keep annotating the list as desired films are announced. And again, thanks for the interest in this Savant feature.
