THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW

Synopsis:

The headmistress of a girls' Soro has a child and loses it in childbirth. Subsequently, she becomes a little unstable. When the girls in her house throw a goodbye party with alcohol, she loses it and threatens to throw them all out of the dorm. Furthermore, when she catches one of them having sex in one of her rooms, she rips open the waterbed, they are on and storms out of the room only to have the girl she just embarrassed threaten to kill her. Fast forward to the night before the goodbye social. The girls have just about had enough of the headmistress and are determined to teach her a lesson. They take her cane and place it on an inner tube in the pool behind the house. Mind you, the pool hasn't been cleaned in years so the water that has collected is green and yucky and probably stinky too! The loudest Soro girl brandishes a gun and tells the headmistress to go swimming for her cane. Expecting her to go quietly in the face of a weapon, she under estimates the headmistress's resolve and accidentally shoots her in the gut! Thinking her dead, the Soros dump her in the pool and in a fit of extreme intelligence (snicker) they attempt to weigh her down with bath towels!

Needless to say, the party goes on, she's not really dead but a lot of these Soros will be before the night is over! Mind numbing 80's slasher picture all the way around!

Audio/Video:

The audio and video are equally awfully reproduced here for your digital entertainment! The audio is muddy and hard to hear at times. The 5.1 is non-existent. All of the film's aural effects come from the center and the fronts. The video is widescreen but it's image much like it's audio is very muddy. The colors are not well defined and the overall presentation is one that is lackluster at best. The scratches and fleckings that appear are for films much older than this however, that comes as no surprise given the film's already bland presentation.

Extras:

The only extra is a very dated trailer that is full frame and just as awful as the movie. The quality is so bad it's almost not worth watching.

Overall:

Bad movie, rent it if you must, buy it if you dare. The 80's were a great period for some pretty cool slasher-oriented flicks; this however, is not one of them. Not only is the film's presentation poor, the acting, execution, special effects and storyline were all bad beyond belief.
