Synopsis: The film opens with the death & subsequent funeral of one of the World's greatest composers, Ludwig Van Beethoven. At question is the disposition of the late Maestro's music & monies. At first glance, his remaining, overbearing brother & wife feel entitled due to their having endured his ill tempered bouts & general poor behavior while he lived with them. (Although given their outbursts & money lust, I'm not sure who got the better of whom.) Afterall, the Will they have identifies them as the sole beneficiaries of his estate. However, Beethoven's friend, Anton Felix Schindler, stumbles upon a letter intended for Beethoven's Immortal Beloved, and it is she who is to receive the entirety of his estate. With no name and no clues, Schindler is determined to find Beethoven's Immortal Beloved and deliver to her the entitlement left her. Immortal Beloved, a tale of love and betrayal interwoven with the most magnificent music yet written.

Audio: The audio is incredible. the 5.1 digital soundtrack really delivers and transforms your home theater into a concert hall of the first order!

Video: The anamorphic rendering of this film is simply breathtaking. incredible transfer of an incredible film. There were no imperfections noted.

Extras: The extras consist of a director's commentary, a featurette, theatrical trailer & talent files.

Overall: Like Amadeus, Immortal Beloved tells the story of Classical music's finest composers. With the elements of drama & artistic license, Beethoven's life is given fantastic treatment. If you are at all a fan of classical music, this is not a film to be missed.
