Its sad news to report that DVD Bargain pioneer 800.com has laid off its staff and will most likely close its doors later this week. 800.com really kicked off online DVD Bargains with their legendary 3 DVDs for $1 in 1999. They've always been a great supporter of DVD Talk as well as being in our home town of Portland, OR. We know a lot of great people over at 800.com who have been really great to us. 800.com - thanks for all the bargains, hope someone comes in with an 11th hour save!
