Columbia Tri-Star has announced the DVD Release for Michael Mann's Ali. Set for release on 4/30 Ali is surprisingly featureless, with no commentaries, deleted scenes or 'making-ofs'. But we guess if you really wanted to know the true story of Muhammad Ali you'd pick up the amazing When We Were Kings, the movie we consider the definitive look at the champ! Bad news for Mr Show fans: the rumors making their rounds around the 'net about HBO putting the DVD release Mr Show : The Complete First and Second Seasons on hold are true. We got a release today from HBO saying in fact Mr Show : The Complete First and Second Seasons DVD 'has been temporarily pulled from the release schedule' and 'the new street date will be timed to coincided with the theatrical release of Run Ronnie Run. Mr Show was scheduled for a 4/2 release, and unfortunately 'Run Ronnie Run' isn't scheduled for theatrical release until possibly August/September 2002.
