DVD Savant: Once Upon a Time in America
This week the DVD Savant takes a look at Warner Bros' 2 Disc Special Edition of Sergio Leone's almost four-hour gangster epic Once Upon a Time in America, All Day's Christ in Concrete Edward Dmytryk's difficult to describe film, Criterion's Night and Fog the full 1955 Holocaust essay-film with additional text essays and an interview with its director Alain Resnais, Paramount's The Desperate Hours a William Wyler suspense favorite, New Line Home Enterainment's Death and the Maiden Roman Polanski makes big suspense and drama out of three people in a single room for 90 minutes, Home Vision Entertainment's Black and White in Color Jean-Jacques Annaud's hilariously dark look at real events in colonial Africa in WW1 and Image Entertainment's release of Fritz Lang's You Only Live Once.
