One of the major issues addressed in 2004 will be - what's next for DVD? In 2003 the stage was set for a massive format war over the next generation for DVD (HD-DVD). Earlier this year we attended the DVD in 50 Conference where we got a good look at the lay of the land for the future of DVD. In early January many of the players will be officially throwing their hat in the HD-DVD ring at CES (Consumer Electronic Show) including: Sony's Blue-Ray, Microsoft's Windows Media 9 and the DVD Forum's 'approved' format - Advanced Optical Disc 'AOD'.
