DVD Talk Interview: Director Richard Shepard
At DVD Talk we pride ourselves in covering more than just the major releases each week. It's important to us to cover great films on DVD no matter what their box office numbers are, or even if they ever saw the inside of a theater. Perhaps that's why the work of Director Richard Shepard has caught our eye. Shepard has made a career out of blowing past the expectations people have for low-budget films. Working with several big-name actors, including Maura Tierney, Adrien Brody and Sam Rockwell, he's created engaging films like The Linguini Incident, Oxygen, and most recently Mercy. DVD Talk writer Francis Rizzo III sat down with Richard Shepard to talk to him about his films, his thoughts about DVD and The Matador a black comedy he's working on with Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, and Hope Davis. Read our complete interview with Richard Shepard.
