Clip of The Week: The Beat That My Heart Skipped
This week we're extremely excited to bring you clips of a number of "hidden gem" films out this week on DVD including: The Beat That My Heart Skipped - a breathtakingly amazing French film from Jacques Audiard who has adapted and updated James Toback's cult 1978 noir Fingers to come up with this memorable character study about a young man torn between a life of crime and classical music; Open House - a tangled tale of intrigue, romance, lost love and "sexy swipers", Writer/Director Dan Mirvish returns to the great Hollywood tradition of "musical-real-estate-action-comedies" - starring an ensemble cast and rollicking across the screen in full musical glory; Kings and Queen - the exhilarating new film from Arnaud Desplechin. Starring two of France's greatest young actors, Emmanuelle Devos (Read My Lips) and Mathieu Amalric (My Sex Life), Kings and Queen expertly mixes comedy, tragedy and melodrama to tell the emotionally gripping story of the intersecting lives of two former lovers. Be sure to catch past week's clips at DVD Talk TV.
