Clip of The Week: The Beat That My Heart Skipped
This week we're extremely excited to bring you clips of a number of "hidden gem" films out this week on DVD including: The Beat That My Heart Skipped - a breathtakingly amazing French film from Jacques Audiard who has adapted and updated James Toback's cult 1978 noir Fingers to come up with this memorable character study about a young man torn between a life of crime and classical music; Open House - a tangled tale of intrigue, romance, lost love and "sexy swipers", Writer/Director Dan Mirvish returns to the great Hollywood tradition of "musical-real-estate-action-comedies" - starring an ensemble cast and rollicking across the screen in full musical glory; Kings and Queen - the exhilarating new film from Arnaud Desplechin. Starring two of France's greatest young actors, Emmanuelle Devos (Read My Lips) and Mathieu Amalric (My Sex Life), Kings and Queen expertly mixes comedy, tragedy and melodrama to tell the emotionally gripping story of the intersecting lives of two former lovers. Be sure to catch past week's clips at DVD Talk TV.

Silent DVD: The Harold Lloyd Comedy Collection and an interview with Suzanne Lloyd
The Harold Lloyd Comedy Collection is finally hitting DVD and Silent DVD has a look at this great collection. With this release, the last of the great silent comedians will finally have his work available on DVD. Not only does this boxed set have his most famous films like Safety Last! and The Freshman, but most of his other features are included, as well several of his shorter works. With wonderfully restored video and new orchestral scores, this is one of the best, and funniest set to be released this year. Silent DVD also has an interview with Harold's granddaughter, Suzanne Lloyd, who was instrumental in creating this set. She talks about what her grandfather was like, how he felt about his fans, and why a couple of Lloyd's features aren't included in this boxed set. She also reveals the state of Welcome Danger, Lloyd's first sound feature. Read the complete interview. In case you missed them, be sure to check out the previous installments where we look at the massive seven disc Unseen Cinema: Early American Avant Garde Film 1893 -1941 set, the Leni Riefenstahl feature The White Hell of Pitz Palu, and Kino's Slapstick Symposium Too .
