This Week's Notable DVDs - King Kong Diaries, Sin City Recut and Long Way Round
A fantastic week for notable DVDs, including:
King Kong - Peter Jackson's Production Diaries [Review] - a 3 1/2 hour supplement to the film in theaters [Theatrical Review], worth checking out AFTER you've seen Kong on the big screen;
; Frank Miller's Sin City: Recut, Extended and Unrated [Review] - a clear case where the follow-up release matches or outshines the original in every department, leaving nothing important behind in the process; Long Way Round [Review] - a fantastic series following Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman riding around the world on their motorcycles; The 40-Year-Old Virgin [Review] - vulgar down to the bone, but sugary sweet at the same time, The 40-Year-Old Virgin is one of the funniest and enjoyable movies to come out in a long time. Other notable DVDs out this week include: Airplane - Don't Call Me Shirley Edition [Review], The Producers: Deluxe Edition [Review] Saint Ralph [Review] and
The Simpsons: S7.
