The flood of big 'summer' blockbusters begins this week with Mission: Impossible III - Alias/Lost creator J.J. Abrams takes the helm of this roller coaster spy thriller franchise with great results. For viewers looking for something a little more tame Hoot is a family treat from the mind of Carl Hiaasen with a superb soundtrack by Jimmy Buffett. The Promise is also out in limited release and is visually stunning, but lacking in substance.
