This Week's Notable DVDs: Syriana, The Hills Have Eyes: Unrated and Night Watch
A strong week for notable DVDs this week including: Syriana [Review] - this politically-charged film is not only smart, but also incredibly entertaining, and earned George Clooney his first Academy Award®; The Hills Have Eyes: Unrated [Review] - the gloriously gruesome Alexandre Aja remake gets a fantastic unrated DVD treatment; Night Watch [Review] - this Russian vampire-fantasy might be a bit confusing, but its definitely interesting and shows that these filmmakers clearly have potential; What's Eating Gilbert Grape: SE [Review] - the sweet and sharply-focused character study that shows just how great Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp can be; The Omen: CE [Review] - Richard Donner's horror classic gets a new DVD release that's easily worth the double-dip. Other Notable DVDs out this week include:
Justice League: S2 [Review], Equinox: Criterion [Review], Nate & Hayes [Review], NewsRadio: S4 [Review], Krypto: V1 [Review] The Loved Ones [Review].
