New Movie Reviews: Invincible, Beerfest, and Idlewild
Mark Wahlberg plays Philadelphia Eagles fan Vince Papale in Invincible - the dramatization of the 1976 story about Papale participating in an open tryout and seeing his wildest dreams come true. From the producers of The Rookie and Miracle, Invincible looks to capitalize on the start of the NFL season to put fans in theater seats. Also in theaters this week is Beerfest - the Broken Lizard comedy troupe is back at it again, and their taking on the underground German beer-and-games competition in this crazy comedy; Idlewild - OutKast provides the jazzy hip-hop score for this film that "starts well and ends well" but lacks consistency throughout; and How To Eat Fried Worms - the beloved children's book about accepting a ill-tasting dare gets a big screen adaptation. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Bandidas, Brother Bear 2, Snakes on a Plane, The Illusionist, Accepted, Factotum, World Trade Center, Material Girls, Step Up, The Descent, The Night Listener, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.
