New DVD Reviews: X3, Lucky Number Slevin and Thank You For Smoking
Now with over 16,800 DVD reviews in the DVD Talk Review Database, it's easy to overlook some of the great reviews. Recent DVD Reviews include: X-3: X-Men - The Last Stand - Brett Ratner isn't in the same league of Brian Singer, but the X-Men franchise is strong enough to survive him; Lucky Number Slevin - a twisted, grimly funny slice of noir that builds to an emotionally satisfying climax; Thank You For Smoking - writer/director Jason Reitman teams with Aaron Eckhart to make habit-forming filmmaking in one of 2006's great films; The Devil and Daniel Johnston - an emotionally shattering journey exploring madness, love and creativity, all of which tentatively co-exist within the troubled, turbulent soul of this singular artist; Head Trauma - quiet, unassuming, and surprisingly satisfying this is a solid piece of indie horror filmmaking; The Woods - not the stellar sophomore follow up to May that Lucky McKee fans were looking for, but still worth checking out. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
