New Movie Reviews: Guardian, School for Scoundrels, and Open Season
Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher try to save the day (and get soaked in the process) in The Guardian. This feel-good drama about the U.S. Coast Guard only helps solidify Costner's recent resurgence as a major Hollywood star. Gather all your sea-faring friends and check out The Guardian as it opens wide today. Also in theaters this week is School for Scoundrels - Jon Heder tries, yet again, to break out of the Napoleon Dynamite stiffness that continues to haunt his career; Open Season - this animated film is more a 90-minute imitation than a fun, original movie; and Revolver - this mind-bending crime film, starring Jason Statham and Ray Liotta, is Guy Ritchie's latest. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: The Queen, The Last King of Scotland, Jackass: Number Two, All the King's Men, Flyboys, The Science of Sleep, Fearless, Haven, The Motel, The Black Dahlia, The Last Kiss, Gridiron Gang, Confetti, Everyone's Hero, The U.S. vs. John Lennon, Aurora Borealis, Hollywoodland, The Protector, The Covenant, Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.
