This Week's Notable DVDs: Little Miss Sunshine, Fearless and When the Levees Broke
A fantastic week for notable DVDs including: Little Miss Sunshine [Review] - the darling of last year's Sundance Film Fest makes it way onto DVD in THE not-to-be-missed comedy of the year...If you watch one comedy this year on DVD, make it this one; Jet Li's Fearless [Review - Interview] - Jet Li goes out with a bang in his last and one of his best kung-fu epics; When the Levees Broke [Review] - Spike Lee's passionate and moving look at the flooding in New Orleans might just be his finest work yet; Lady in the Water [Review] - M. Night Shyamalan's latest isn't perfect, but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying it; A Scanner Darkly [Review] - Richard Linklater improves his technique from Waking Life and transforms this Philip K. Dick tale into a compelling film. Other Notable DVDs out this week include: All the King's Men [Review], Police Story: SE [Review], The Promise, Simpsons: S9, The Wicker Man:SE (1975). Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
