New Movie Reviews: Pirates of the Caribbean, Bug and Angel-A
Heading into the holiday weekend the latest Blockbuster looking to strike box office gold is Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End - Captain Jack Sparrow and company finish up the thrill-ride of a trilogy which delivers as the proverbial popcorn movie. Lion's Gate may have tried to hide Bug from critics, but DVD Talk's Brian Orndorf quite liked this unique dramatic thriller. Luc Besson returns to the silver screen this week with Angel-A- a dear and surprising film that ranks with his best. Another film out this week that's under the radar screen is Paprika - the latest treat from Satoshi Kon (director of Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, and Tokyo Godfathers). We're also excited to give you a sneak peek at Knocked Up - which debuts next week from Judd Apatow, it's a movie so good you should mark the release date on your calendar. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Shrek the Third, Spider-Man 3, 28 Weeks Later, Georgia Rule, The Ex, Away From Her, Blind Dating, Waitress, Lucky You, Killer of Sheep. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.
