Silent DVD is back this week with complete coverage of the 12th Annual San Francisco Silent Film Festival. This year's festival included the Louise Brooks film Beggars of Life, an early precursor to film noir, A cottage on Dartmoor, and the Ernst Lubitsch light drama The Student Prince in Old Heidelberg. Also in this month's installment is a look at Kino's Reel Baseball, a collection of silent movies based on America's favorite pastime, and information on upcoming silent films such including Lon Chaney's Hunchback of Notre Dame: Ultimate Edition.
