New Movie Reviews: Superbad, Invasion, and Shark is Still Working
Judd Apatow is riding high on the success of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, but he merely produces the latest film in his ouevre, Superbad. Instead, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg team up to write this hilarious "quasi-autobiographical 1980s-style teenage sex comedy with laughs and heart and, merciful heavens, more laughs." Superbad strips down to its bra and panties in theaters everywhere this weekend. Also in theaters this week is The Invasion - Who was the genius that thought remaking Invasion of the Body Snatchers again was a good idea, and how'd they convince Nicole Kidman to star?; The Shark is Still Working: The Impact and Legacy of Jaws - the fantastic documentary about one of the greatest films of all time; and Death at a Funeral - Frank Oz directs this film about two brothers trying to stop a blackmailer from exposing their dead father's past. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Manda Bala (Send a Bullet), Skinwalkers, No End in Sight, Rush Hour 3, Stardust, Daddy Day Camp, Descent, The Bourne Ultimatum, Hot Rod, Becoming Jane, El Cantante, Fat Girls, Underdog. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.
