It seems strange that the filmmaking team behind the excellent American Splendor chose to follow that film with The Nanny Diaries, but maybe they have aspirations of raising the film above its fluffy chick-lit-novel origins. Either way, the stunning and talented Scarlett Johansson stars in what is sure to be a hit based on the success of the book alone.
