New Movie Reviews: Rush Hour 3, Stardust, and Daddy Day Camp
If you weren't already sick and tired of that "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth" line yet, Rush Hour 3 is around to remind you that it hasn't been all that funny since the first installment. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan team up again (this time in Paris) to take down some Chinese gangsters. Rush Hour 3 speeds into theaters everywhere this weekend. Also in theaters this week is Stardust - Matthew Vaughn directs Claire Danes and Sienna Miller in this fantastic Neil Gaiman adaptation; Daddy Day Camp - is Cuba Gooding, Jr. really this desperate for work?; and Descent - Rosario Dawson stars as college student in Talia Lugacy's debut feature film. TV on DVD Reviews: Rome Season 2, Gideon's Trumpet and Two's Company

DVD Savant: Flash Gordon, The Lives of Others and She
Flash Gordon This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews including: Flash Gordon - Dino De Laurentiis' Disco-riffic comic strip epic comes to DVD in a extra super special Savior of the Universe Edition; Un chien Andalou - Luis Bunuel's epochal surrealist short subject includes interesting interviews with his son, Jean-Luis; Les enfants terribles - Jean-Pierre Melville's first film was this disturbing psychodrama about a possessive sister and a sickly brother; Showgirls - The critical commentary and trivia tracks on this Fully Exposed Edition make Paul Verhoeven's noxious melodrama almost watchable; The Lives of Others - This year's winner of the Best Foreign Film is a superb spy drama about the oppressive policies of the East German Stasi secret police; She (Deluxe Two Disc Edition) - Buried behind a colorized version and several infomercials is a fine full-length copy of Merian C. Clip of The Week: Man Stroke Woman
Man Stroke Woman This week we have a number of clips from the DVD release of Man Stroke Woman: The Complete First Series. Quick-witted and well-observed, this British series is a quirky and original take on men, women, kids, friendship, and pretty much anything that's worth having a laugh about. Produced by Ash Atalla, this ensemble piece brings together an irresistible collection of personalities.
