New Movie Reviews: Good Luck Chuck, Across the Universe, and In the Valley of Elah
Looks like Jessica Alba is slummin' it again with a lukewarm comedy in Good Luck Chuck. This time around Alba teams with Dane Cook for a comedy that looks to be just about as unfunny as a comedy could possibly be. Good Luck Chuck looks for some laugh in theaters everywhere this weekend. Also in theaters this week is Across the Universe - Julie Taymor directs this Beatles' music adaptation and creates "a film of singular artistic representation and copious visual poetry/madness"; In the Valley of Elah - Paul Haggis follows up his critical darling Crash with this "subtle, honest, raw, and real" film based on the true story of the mysteriously AWOL Mike Deerfield; and Resident Evil: Extinction - Milla Jovovich steps back into her familiar role in this hit videogame adaptation. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Transformers: The IMAX Experience, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, Sydney White, Eastern Promises, The Brave One, The Hunting Party, Dragon Wars (D-War), Mr. Woodcock, Hatchet, Shoot 'Em Up, 3:10 to Yuma. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.
