New Movie Reviews: Lakeview Terrace, Ghost Town, and My Best Friend's Girl
Neil LaBute tries on a paycheck directing gig guiding Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Wilson in the racially-charged thriller Lakeview Terrace. DVD Talk critics Brian Orndorf and David Walker face the wrath. Ricky Gervais can speak to the dead, and the dead need plenty of relationship assistance in the dramedy Ghost Town. Brian Orndorf and Randy Miller III discuss the picture. And Dane Cook returns to prove he's completely unable to pick good material in My Best Friend's Girl. Also in theaters: John Cusack and Molly Shannon help voice the scares in the animated horror comedy Igor. The complexities of the 1999 WTO riots are dramatized by Stuart Townsend and a star-studded cast in Battle in Seattle. Keira Knightley is strapped into a corset and sent through the royal paces in The Duchess. And Germany offers their take on Carnival of Souls in the wonderfully acted mystery Yella. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Burn After Reading, Righteous Kill, The Women, The Family That Preys, Towelhead, Sukiyaki Western Django, Bangkok Dangerous, Mister Foe, Babylon A.D., Disaster Movie, Traitor, The House Bunny, Tropic Thunder, Mamma Mia!, and The Dark Knight.
