DVDTalk's 2009 Tribeca Film Festival Roundup
DVDTalk's Jason Bailey has spent the better part of the last two weeks losing sleep, eating irregular meals, and blogging from his cell phone all in order to catch as many movies as possible at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival. He managed to take in 30 features, including Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience, unexpectedly daring and immensely rewarding film; Outrage - an examination of the closeted hypocrisy of secretly-gay lawmakers; and In the Loop - a delightfully smart British comedy with James Gandolfini. Which flicks are must-sees and which ones "shouldn't [see] the light of a DVD laser, much less the screens of a reputable film festival like this one"? Check out Jason's wrap up of the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival.
