DVD Savant: M*A*S*H, Hot Fuzz, and Pitfall
This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews including: M*A*S*H [Blu-ray] - The original hilarious Robert Altman service comedy with Donald Sutherland and Elliott Gould looks better than ever on Blu-ray; Hot Fuzz [Blu-ray] - Edgar Wright's uproarious sendup of cop crime shows blasts out at full impact level, with additional extras; and Pitfall - Savant's Revival Screening Review examines a genuine classic noir unavailable on disc -- André De Toth's 1948 story of a husband whose infidelity puts his job, his family and his life in jeopardy. Terrific performances from Dick Powell, Lizabeth Scott, Jane Wyatt and Raymond Burr. The richly subversive script could even be the inspiration for Invaders from Mars -- little Jimmy Hunt plays a boy who reads comic books and has nightmares of things outside his bedroom window. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.
