DVD Savant: Eagles Over London, Wings of Desire, and Rancho Notorious
This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews including: Eagles Over London [Blu-ray] - Enzo G. Castellari depicts the evacuation of Dunkirk, followed by an undercover Nazi plot to wipe out England's radar warning system to aid the German conquest. Crazy war action from the maker of the original Inglorious Bastards; Wings of Desire - Wim Wenders bends his style to embrace old-fashioned German Expressionism in one of the most emotional art films ever: Bruno Ganz's forlorn angel of mercy falls in love with circus aerialist Solveig Dommartin, and chooses to become mortal. With a wonderful appearance by Peter Falk; and Rancho Notorious - Fritz Lang's emphatic, operatic western is all about Hate, Murder and Revenge! Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.
