DVD Savant: The Terminal Man, The Last Grenade, and Paris, Texas
This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews and articles including: The Terminal Man - A bizarre experiment in post- 2001 Sci-Fi: homicidal mental patient George Segal is "cured" with surgically-implanted brain probes. Michael Crichton and Mike Hodges' thriller segues rom a fascinating futuristic surgery to a more predictable killer-on-the-loose story; The Last Grenade - Stanley Baker, Richard Attenborough and Honor Blackman star in an exploitative action drama about mercenaries clashing on the Hong Kong - Red China border. With Alex Cord as a crazed hipster soldier of fortune; and Paris, Texas - Wim Wenders made an international splash with this quirky, intense tale of a father seeking to reunite the family he abandoned four years before. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.
