This Week's Notable DVDs: The Book of Eli, Unthinkable, and Mystery Train
This week several great movies are coming out, including a few that shouldn't be missed: The Book of Eli [Blu-ray review] - a gritty post-apocalyptic film that impresses with its dilapidated atmosphere and excellent performances from the actors; Unthinkable [Blu-ray review] - smart, well made, topical and disturbing; and Mystery Train [Blu-ray review] - Jim Jarmusch's most personable work is a masterwork of substance and the slightest stylistic support.
It's not a total loss however. There are some new releases you might want to check out: Youth in Revolt [DVD review, Blu-ray review], Lewis Black: Stark Raving Black [DVD review], and Mary and Max [DVD review].
