With Halloween only a few days away, it's the perfect time to watch a scary movie. Check out some of these recent releases that all come highly recommended: House On Straw Hill - recommended for hardcore ‘70s horror film buffs, but the bonus documentary included with the first print run, Ban the Sadist Videos, is excellent and deserves to be widely seen; American Horror Story: Asylum - a very good show that still delivers the thrills, scares, and interesting characters that we've come to expect; and The Conjuring - a really well made picture with loads of atmosphere, some fantastic scares and some consistently good performances.
