Recent Reviews: Inherit the Wind, The Boys From Brazil, and Black Sails
Our reviewers have been busy this week, filling the DVD Talk Review Database more great entries. Some new reviews of note include:
Inherit the Wind - Stanley Kramer's barely-fictionalized dramatization of the infamous 1925 Scopes "Monkey" Trial pits Spencer Tracy and Frederic March against each other for some intriguing courtroom sparring; The Boys From Brazil - an interesting mash-up of science fiction and geopolitics, this movie is highbrow schlock with over-the-top Nazi villains and a ridiculous story about genetic modification that is fun to watch; and Black Sails: The Complete First Season - this rowdy Michael Bay-produced series focuses on the inner workings of pirate politics and Captain James Flint's quest to recover a Spanish treasure.
Other recent reviews include: Lloyd's of London, The House at the End of Time, and Eclipse Series 41: Kinoshita and World War II. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
