This Week's Notable Releases: The Black Stallion, It Follows, and Hiroshima mon amour
The Black Stallion There are some new titles coming out that might make it worth a trip to the video store this week. Check out these recent releases: The Black Stallion [review] - a beautifully made film with stunning cinematography, remarkable music, and a wonderful directorial style from first-time feature filmmaker Carroll Ballard; It Follows [review] - a tremendous exercise in atmospheric horror... it's certainly an experience you'll never forget; and Hiroshima mon amour: Criterion Collection [review] - Alain Resnais' film has easily withstood the test of time, doubling as a potent human drama and an invaluable time capsule. Other reviews of note include: Here Is Your Life [review], Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf [review], and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 [review]. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
