This Week's Notable Releases: The Black Stallion, It Follows, and Hiroshima mon amour
There are some new titles coming out that might make it worth a trip to the video store this week. Check out these recent releases:
The Black Stallion [review] - a beautifully made film with stunning cinematography, remarkable music, and a wonderful directorial style from first-time feature filmmaker Carroll Ballard; It Follows [review] - a tremendous exercise in atmospheric horror... it's certainly an experience you'll never forget; and Hiroshima mon amour: Criterion Collection [review] - Alain Resnais' film has easily withstood the test of time, doubling as a potent human drama and an invaluable time capsule.
