Another banner week for DVDs with the studios releasing some great films and boxed sets such as: Justice League: Gods and Monsters [review] - Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett are back in the fray and joined by one of DC's most accomplished directors and the end result is remarkable, easily ranking among the line's best; Miracle Mile [review] - this movie about a desperate man trying to make his way through the nocturnal underworld of a city after a date goes awry is a cult film ripe for wider discovery and appreciation; and Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau - ''House of Pain'' Edition [review] - what happened to Stanley and company on the set of The Island of Dr. Moreau is truly terrible, short-circuiting a number of promising careers but this release is a quality package for fans of films gone wrong.
