This Week's Notable Releases: Justice League: Gods and Monsters, Miracle Mile, and Lost Soul
Justice League: Gods and Monsters Another banner week for DVDs with the studios releasing some great films and boxed sets such as: Justice League: Gods and Monsters [review] - Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett are back in the fray and joined by one of DC's most accomplished directors and the end result is remarkable, easily ranking among the line's best; Miracle Mile [review] - this movie about a desperate man trying to make his way through the nocturnal underworld of a city after a date goes awry is a cult film ripe for wider discovery and appreciation; and Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau - ''House of Pain'' Edition [review] - what happened to Stanley and company on the set of The Island of Dr. Moreau is truly terrible, short-circuiting a number of promising careers but this release is a quality package for fans of films gone wrong. Other reviews of note include: Ghost Town [review], Zone Troopers [review], and Prime Cut [review].

Recent Reviews: X-Men: Days of Future Past, The World of Henry Orient, and The Longest Ride
X-Men: Days of Future Past -- The Rogue Cut Some great DVD and Blu-ray reviews have been added to the the DVD Talk Review Database recently including: X-Men: Days of Future Past -- The Rogue Cut - this set includes the theatrical release as well as an alternate version of the film with little added extensions throughout the movie and a significant chunk of material that reintegrates one the series' iconic characters, Rogue, back into the narrative; The World of Henry Orient - a tender exploration of the gradual loss of innocence as we get older, while reminding us to hang onto a bit of that child-like whimsy and imagination as we enter into adulthood; and The Longest Ride - a sweetly romantic film which takes a long journey through the romance of its characters. Other recent reviews include: Can't Stand Losing You: Surviving the Police, Contamination, and Hell's Five Hours.  Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
