Recent Reviews: Dog Day Afternoon, Samuel Goldwyn Movie Collection, and Backcountry
Our reviewers have been busy this week, filling the DVD
Talk Review Database more great entries. Some new reviews of note include:
Dog Day Afternoon - 40th Anniversary Edition - still as timeless, captivating, and relevant as ever; this still an easy film to get caught up in; The Samuel Goldwyn Movie Collection Vol. 2 - the six films on tap here are all fairly strong and many of them have been out-of-print and highly sought-after; and Backcountry - part character study, part horror movie, and part thriller, this film is an unusually compact bit of tension-building that never really settles into any one box.
Other recent reviews include: 3 Hearts, Night Train To Terror, and The Age Of Adaline. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
