This week DVD Talk is going to highlight some of the best cocumentaries that have been released recently: Hoop Dreams - this excellent film helped bring a newfound vitality to documentaries as it follows two young boys in Chicago as they attempt to find success in high school basketball which will hopefully find them securing a college scholarship; Deli Man - a warm and often funny look at the shrinking subculture of Jewish delicatessens; and Giuseppe Makes a Movie - a strange film about strange people, yet it's affecting, funny, vivid and unusually delightful.
