This Week's Notable Releases: My Fair Lady, Get Mean, and Bloody Knuckles
This week several great movies are coming out, including a few that shouldn't be missed:
My Fair Lady: 50th Anniversary Edition [review] - a classic story, great performances, terrific songs, and the film stays extremely faithful to the popular play it was based on; Get Mean [review] - this gloriously unhinged and unrepentantly bizarre Spaghetti Western has been rescued from obscurity by Blue Underground... if you're willing to let the movie take you on a wildly imaginative ride, the film is a hell of a rewarding discovery; and Bloody Knuckles [review] - an unapologetically sleazy exploitation flick but there's a helluva lot more to it than that, with some real love and craftsmanship behind it, a genuinely terrific cast, and, something important to say too.
Other reviews of note include: The Human Centipede: The Complete Sequence [review] and Heart of Midnight [review].
