New Reviews: The Big Sleep, The Vikings, and Woman in the Moon
Some great DVD and Blu-ray reviews have been added to the the DVD
Talk Review Database recently including:
The Big Sleep - known for its smoldering lead performances, unpredictable twists, and heavy atmosphere, Howard Hawks' film is still highly enjoyable more than 70 years after its theatrical release; The Vikings - a grand adventure film in the old Hollywood tradition, made with a good budget, a talented crew and an A-list cast. It holds up well, mixing excitement, action, drama and romance together in equal doses and moving at a very fine pace; and Woman in the Moon - a film that is impressive in every way... the scope of the picture and the extent to which directo Fritz Lang and his collaborators went to realize that scope is amazingly ambitious.
