This week several great movies are coming out, including a few that shouldn't be missed: The Holcroft Covenant [review] - unexpectedly terrific, this movie benefits from John Frankenheimer's excellent direction, an outstanding performance by Michael Caine, a clever premise, and some marvelous black humor; and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 [review] - Tobe Hooper's follow-up to his legendary horror classic changes tone dramatically, but offers an entertainingly frenetic mash-up of horror and dark comedy... horror fans will absolutely want to own a copy of Scream Factory's two-disc Collector's Edition Blu-ray; and The Stuff [review] - Larry Cohen's goopy satire of '80s consumerism remains addictively fun even after ringing in its thirtieth anniversary.
