DVD Talk Interview: Paul Feig
It'd be a good week to go to the movies. Here are DVD Talk's recent theatrical reviews:
When Paul Feig was working on The Office in 2008, he felt a little slime-green with envy as two of his colleagues, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, were offered the chance to help write Ghostbusters 3. Little did he know that he was only a few years away from directing a string of blockbuster comedies: Bridesmaids, The Heat, and Spy, all of which he made with breakout star Melissa McCarthy (who joined a rare club of comic actors when she was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance as brash but kind-hearted Megan in Bridesmaids). Now, it's his former "Office"-mates' turn to be jealous, as Feig tackled both co-writing and directing duties on this summer's Ghostbusters, a reboot of the franchise that reunites him with McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, as well as Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Feig was nice enough to clear a bit of time in his schedule to talk with DVDTalk over the phone, just days before his biggest movie yet opens in theaters. Read what he had to say in the latest exclusive DVD Talk Interview.
