New Reviews: Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, Kiju Yoshida, and The Sea Chase
This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked. Recent reviews include:
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia - definitely a top-tier Sam Peckinpah film… an uncompromising, dark, and dirty character portrait that gets better on repeat viewings; Kiju Yoshida: Love + Anarchism - director Kiju Yoshida’s unofficial trilogy of brazenly experimental films about Japanese political radicalism, as refracted through the lens of the set's titular subjects; and The Sea Chase - a colorful, low-key suspense film that looks great on a big screen… it has aged a lot better than many of John Wayne's other films from the 1950s, holding up quite well today.
