New Reviews: Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, Kiju Yoshida, and The Sea Chase
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked. Recent reviews include: Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia - definitely a top-tier Sam Peckinpah film… an uncompromising, dark, and dirty character portrait that gets better on repeat viewings; Kiju Yoshida: Love + Anarchism - director Kiju Yoshida’s unofficial trilogy of brazenly experimental films about Japanese political radicalism, as refracted through the lens of the set's titular subjects; and The Sea Chase - a colorful, low-key suspense film that looks great on a big screen… it has aged a lot better than many of John Wayne's other films from the 1950s, holding up quite well today. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
