Recent Anime Reviews: One-Punch Man, Wolf's Rain, and Attack on Titan
Looking for some cool anime? Check out our latest anime reviews including:
One-Punch Man - an amusing, if unconventional series blessed with the quality of animation that can turn a story about a recurring gag into an enthralling work that packs a punch; Wolf's Rain: The Complete Series - a modern anime classic that belongs on every animation enthusiast’s shelf… its emotionally driven story blended with beautiful visual elements and layered in complex folklore make it worth the rewatch; and Attack on Titan: Complete Season One - every bit the game changer as its rapid fan base responsible for its monstrous popularity can attest to... It doesn't just break from the mold, it shatters it.

Notable Releases: Ghost in the Shell, Slither, and Colossal
There are a few new releases that you won't want to miss. Check out these hot titles:
Ghost in the Shell - 3D - there's a lot of interesting elements in this movie, and fans of the previous versions can likely appreciate this new, somewhat meta vision… the 3D experience puts the added depth to good use in enhancing the film, and the quality and extras make for a quality presentation; Slither: Collector's Edition - featuring fun performances, outstanding gore effects, and a much-needed light touch… there's a lot to like here; and Colossal - the movie starts as a kinda-sorta dark comedy within a monster movie…and one ups itself… a unique treasure deserved to be seen by scores of people.

New Reviews: Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, Kiju Yoshida, and The Sea Chase
This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked. Recent reviews include:
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia - definitely a top-tier Sam Peckinpah film… an uncompromising, dark, and dirty character portrait that gets better on repeat viewings; Kiju Yoshida: Love + Anarchism - director Kiju Yoshida’s unofficial trilogy of brazenly experimental films about Japanese political radicalism, as refracted through the lens of the set's titular subjects; and The Sea Chase - a colorful, low-key suspense film that looks great on a big screen… it has aged a lot better than many of John Wayne's other films from the 1950s, holding up quite well today.
