TV Reviews: Crashing and T.J. Hooker
Crashing: The Complete First Season More TV shows have made their way on to DVD and Blu-ray, and DVD Talk has got them covered. Check out our reviews of the newest TV releases including: Crashing: The Complete First Season - set in the world of stand-up and featuring a host of funny folk but it's far more of a dramedy than a comedy in exploring the cost of chasing your dreams; and T.J. Hooker: The Complete Series - star William Shatner does fine in this 1980’s police drama, but the writing generally gives him little from which to build a flesh-and-blood believable character. Want more?  Check out all of the TV on DVD reviews in the DVD Talk database.

Notable Releases: The Breaking Point, Teen Wolf, and Beauty's Worth
The Breaking Point (1950) Another banner week for home video with the studios releasing some great films and boxed sets such as: The Breaking Point (1950) - Michael Curtiz's film has aged even better than most films in his vast body of work, largely due to the excellent performances and Ernest Hemingway's source novel… it's a gripping, intense, and thoroughly entertaining noir; Teen Wolf - this film includes everything that's great about ‘80s movies - a wonderfully uncomplicated bit of fun with a cast of likeable characters that's powered by obvious heart and an excellent soundtrack; and Beauty's Worth - Marion Davies gives a solid performance in this light romantic comedy and the newly composed score fits the film well. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

New Reviews: The Lemon Drop Kid, Terror in a Texas Town, and Evil Ed
The Lemon Drop Kid This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked. Recent reviews include: The Lemon Drop Kid - a perennial Bob Hope favorite that finally gets a Blu-ray upgrade… it's exactly the right mix of charming, silly, and sweet, and well worth adding to your collection; Terror in a Texas Town - subtly unusual, this western is very worthwhile… it's the kind of picture that if one stumbles upon it late one sleepless night has the capacity to really dazzle the viewer, even if one can't explain why by morning; and Evil Ed - a film that won't disappoint inveterate horror fans looking for cheap thrills… it's silly and broad, though not the least bit scary, and it piles on the gore in steady and reliable form. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
