DVD Talk Interview: Barry Blaustein - Beyond The Mat
Barry Blaustein got his start as a writer on Saturday Night Live, he then went on to write a number of successful comedies including: Police Academy 2, Coming to America and The Nutty Professor. In 1999 his directorial debut Beyond The Mat showed a side of professional wresting that most had never seen before. Instantly controversial Beyond The Mat exposed the world of professional wrestlings and showed its effect both in and out of the ring. Now available in a special Unrated Director's Cut on DVD, the film can finally be seen in it's most complete form. DVD Talk reporter Ian Jane sat down with Barry Blaustein to talk about Beyond The Mat and the current state of professional wresting. Read the complete interview.

DVD Talk Interview - Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini
Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini might be best know for their work with American Splendor, but before their critically acclaimed hit they made two unique and excellent documentaries: Off The Menu: The Last Days of Chasens, a look at the closing of one of Hollywood's great famous eateries, and The Young and The Dead, which documented the move of one of Hollywood's great cemeteries into the digital age. We had the opportunity to talk to Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini about their early documentary work as the DVD for Off The Menu was getting its release from Docurama. How Wild is the New Wild Things - Unrated Edition DVD
A new unrated cut of John McNaughton's "Wild Things" is on the horizon, scheduled to touch down on April 20. The Return of The Commitments
On the night before St. Patricks Day, to celebrate the DVD release for The Commitments: Collector's Edition, members of the Commitments came together to play a special concert at the House of Blues in Chicago. 13 years had passed since the release of the film, and the band now features many fresh new faces (including new Commitments lead singer Joe "The Moose" Walsh) but one thing hasn't changed - the amazing music! DVD Savant: The Ten Commandments
This week The DVD Savant takes a look at The Ten Commandments - Cecil B.'s Biblical extravaganza is a gaudy and grandiose wonderment with the power of your first Sunday school experience, Wife for a Night - Gina Lollobrigida stars in this period farce, from the same source play as Billy Wilder's Kiss Me, Stupid, Too Bad She's Bad - Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni team for the first time in this witty farce, Girl With a Suitcase - Claudia Cardinale is a vision in this interesting drama that shows her star quality to the best advantage, Baby, the Rain Must Fall - Steve McQueen and Lee Remick give this a solid try, but Richard Mulligan's film of Horton Foote's story doesn't give any of its characters much hope.
