DVD Savant: Reign of Fire, Roman Holiday and Glengarry Glen Ross
This week The DVD Savant takes a look at Touchstone's Reign of Fire which is a-draggin' its way to DVD, Paramount's Roman Holiday which shows the studio is taking extra care with their flagship titles, MGM's Legend of the Lost is no classic, but again a flawless transfer makes all the difference, and Artisan comes through with a terrific Special Edition of Glengarry Glen Ross, with two razor-sharp transfers and some well-chosen extras. MGM has announced the DVD release for one of the best movies of 2002! 13 Conversations with Jill Sprecher
Jill and Karen Sprecher are the Coen Sisters of indie cinema. The mid-west natives make films solely from their original screenplays, which Jill directs and Karen produces, although these traditional divisions of labor blur and interact. The Four Feathers
Paramount pictures has announced the release of The Four Feathers starring Heath Ledger, Kate Hudson and Wes Bentley. Set for release on February 18th The Four Feathers will be released in both widescreen and full screen editions and feature Commentary by Director Shekhar Kapur (who also directed Elizabeth), A Journey From Within: The Making-Of The Four Feathers, and 7 Featurettes. Star Trek Deep Space Nine DVD -Preorder
Paramount has announced the DVD Release for Star Trek - Deep Space 9 The Complete First Season which is Now Up for Pre-Order! Set for release on February 25, 2003 Star Trek - Deep Space 9 The Complete First Season will come in a six-disc collector's box set with all the episodes from Season One with newly remixed Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio and features: Deep Space Nine: A Bold Beginning Feature, Crew Dossier: Kira Nerys, Michael Westmore's Aliens, Secrets of Quark's Bar, Alien Artifacts, Deep Space Nine Sketchbook, Deep Space Nine Chronicles, Section 31 Hidden Files and a Photo Gallery.
