New Movie Reviews: Clerks II, Lady in the Water, and Monster House
Dante and Randal are finally back, but they're not working at the Quick Stop this time around. In Kevin Smith's Clerks II the duo find themselves behind the counter at the Mooby's fast food joint. All of Smith's hilarious characters are back, but the addition of Rosario Dawson and Trevor Fehrman make this return to Jay & Silent Bob territory well worth the wait. Clerks II hits the cineplex this weekend. Also in theaters this week is Lady in the Water - M. Night Shyamalan is at it again with his "bedtime story" about something mysterious living in Paul Giamatti's pool; Monster House - the excellent animated adventure about a house that's really a creepy living monster; and My Super Ex-Girlfriend - Uma Thurman shows Luke Wilson what it's like when your ex-girlfriend possesses super-human powers. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Little Man, You, Me and Dupree, The Oh in Ohio, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Superman Returns, A Scanner Darkly. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.

Some great TV on DVD releases reviewed this week including: Animaniacs: V1 - this animated series combines surrealism, music, education, and a heaping helping of pop-culture references with a silly, fun sense of humor to create a series that allows you to just sit back and enjoy; Jack of All Trades: Complete Series - completely over-the-top Bruce Campbell series is full of cheap laughs, one-liners, and swashbuckling adventure; Pinky and the Brain: V1 - these two wacky lab mice were popular enough on Animaniacs to earn their very own hilarious spin-off series; Murder in Suburbia: S1 - the brilliant, well-acted British series about an unlikely pair of female detectives solving homicides in their nice Middleford neighborhood; Rockford Files: S2 - James Garner is the main attraction in this classic detective series; Waiting for God: S1 - this British sitcom, about two residents of the Bayview Retirement Village, is easily one of the funniest shows to come from across the pond in a long time.
