New Movie Reviews: Saw 3, Death of a President, and Catch a Fire
Darren Lynn Bousman brings Jigsaw back for a third time, with even more of his twisted games of torture, in Saw III. This time, armed with an apprentice, the depraved serial killer has some even grislier scenarios for his victims. Scare up some of your friends and check out Saw III as it opens wide this weekend. Also in theaters this week is Death of a President - British import Gabriel Range's faux documentary about the assassination of a U.S. president and its political implications; Catch a Fire - Derek Luke and Tim Robbins star in Phillip Noyce's return to the big screen and the film is already gaining some Oscar© buzz; and Babel - Alejandro González Iñárritu (not to mention several of the stellar cast members) is sure to get a few nominations for his work on this tragic story of interconnection. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Flags of our Fathers, The Prestige, Marie Antoinette, Running with Scissors, Shortbus, Sweet Land, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Flicka, The Grudge 2, Man of the Year, Infamous, Little Children. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.

Anime Talk: The Guyver, Tactics, Speed Racer and Tenchi
Anime Talk has a look at some great, and not so great, anime DVDs this week. The second volume of Tactics doesn't suffer from the sophomore slump that afflicts many anime series. This show about an exorcist and the tasks that he takes on is unique and has a lot of personality. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig comes to an exciting conclusion and was one of the better series released in 2006. Speed Racer finally wraps up with the final eight episodes, three and a half years after the release of the first volume. In addition to our usual installments of Holly's Anime Bargains and the upcoming releases there's an early look at a character that will be familiar to many old-time anime fans: The Guyver. ADV is releasing a new series of biobooster goodness and it promises to be intense, violent and a lot of fun. Be sure to check out our earlier columns for reviews of the complete Excel Saga, Ninja Nonsense, and Fullmetal Alchemist - The Conqueror of Shamballa.
