TV on DVD: My Favorite Martian, Automan, and Gosei Sentai Dairanger
Interested in the latest TV on DVD reviews? DVD Talk has you covered! This week's notable entries include:
My Favorite Martian: Complete Series - the laughs are good in this science fiction comedy series from the mid-sixties and it comes highly recommended for vintage TV buffs; Automan: The Complete Series - this series about a holographic crime fighter is one of those shows that only could have existed in the eighties... it's pretty out there, but it's still a lot of fun; and Gosei Sentai Dairanger: The Complete Series - Wonderfully surreal in parts and filled with exciting action, this is an all around fun show.

This Week's Notable Releases: Inside Amy Schumer, Ikiru, and A Child is Waiting
Some pretty cool discs are being released this week. Check out these new titles:
Inside Amy Schumer: Season 3 [review] - in this season the show did a little bit of everything, added a lot of new ideas, and earned seven Emmy nominations and two wins; Ikiru: Criterion Collection [review] - Akira Kurosawa's timeless film about a dying man who discovers redemption and happiness by leaving his comfort zone of nostalgia and wasted opportunities; and A Child is Waiting [review] - an offbeat entry amongst the films of John Cassavetes, this film nevertheless sports some excellent work from Burt Lancaster and Judy Garland.
Other reviews of note include: The Mask 3-D [review], Applesauce [review], and Blood And Lace [review].

Recent Reviews: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Charlie Chaplin, and Troll
Some cool discs have been reviewed over the past week. Check out these recent entries:
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (Extended Edition) - a decent conclusion to Peter Jackson's epic trilogy, fans will no doubt want to own this extended edition, which offers fantastic picture and sound quality, hours upon hours of extras, and 20 minutes of additional footage; Chaplin's Essanay Comedies - a fantastic collection of 15 Chaplin shorts, they're very funny and entertaining even a century after they were made; Troll / Troll 2 - these movies still play brilliantly as a double feature... they're both dark fairy tales, they're fiercely imaginative, and they're entirely too fun for words. it's too good to pass up.
Other recent reviews include: Bad Boys / Bad Boys II, The Safecracker, and The End of the Tour. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
